Summary: This is a skilled physical labor position installing epoxy, concrete overlays, concrete stains, and floor sealers. Installers work together and/ or independently under the direction of a foreman to complete projects. Their emphasis is on getting it done right the first time, minimizing problems, reducing waste, staying organized, and staying on schedule with minimal or no overtime.
Primary Duties:
- Surface preparation including the use of large grinding equipment, cleaning equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
- Installation of a wide variety of concrete coatings as part of a small crew.
- Following and remembering specific detailed instructions.
- Measuring and mixing.
- Masking.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly jobsite.
- Communicating clearly and regularly with the foreman.
- Meeting daily and weekly goals as dictated by the foreman and owner.
Secondary Duties:
- Maintenance of shop and vehicles.
- Some customer communications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Trade school, or training in a construction trade preferred.
- Good problem solver.
- Good with basic math and geometry calculations.
- Able to communicate complex ideas, problems, and situations clearly with management.
- Positive, teachable attitude.
- Excellent Attendance.
- Excellent work ethic.
- Able to lift 55lbs., bend over, and do hands and knees work.
- Availability to work overtime and travel 25% of the time as required by projects.
Compensation: Installers are paid hourly, and receive paychecks weekly. Wages depend completely on experience, skills and merit. Compensation is estimated to be $25,000-$40,000 per year.
